Halloween (1978)
On Halloween night in 1963, six year old Michael Myers murders his older sister Judith. Michael is placed in a mental hospital where he escapes and returns to his hometown to find his next victims. The whole movie is filmed in the point of view of the  through his mask of Michael. This classic thriller is definitely a must see movie for any scary movie junkie.


 

The Conjuring (2013)
In 1970, Carolyn and Rodger Perron move into a secluded farm house with their children where a supernatural presence is known. The supernatural events soon escalate when the family finds out about the house’s horrific history. This terrifying movie will make anyone jump out of their seats and scream in terror like it did to me.


 

Insidious (2010)
The Lambert family moves in to a new home with their three children. One day their son Dalton falls and ends up in a coma. Once Dalton is taken home from the hospital, supernatural events happen.  The Lambert family must fight the demon that is taking over their son’s body. This is a terrifying movie that is definitely one of my favorites. I recommend it to any scary movie lover.


 

Sinister (2012)
Crime writer Ellison Oswald has not had a best seller in a long time and is desperate for a hit. When he discovers videos of the death of families, he is intrigued and interested in  solving their mystery. He moves the family into the victim’s house and finds clues within the films that hint to a supernatural presence. This movie is an intense crime solving scary mystery that everyone will love. I definitely recommend this movie for anyone that is looking for a little mystery, however, the sequel fall short and I do not recommend it if you are looking to be scared.


 

The Sixth Sense (1999)
Cole is an eight year old boy who is visited by ghosts that have unresolved problems with their deaths. Cole tells his secret to a child psychologist who tries to uncover the truth about Cole’s abilities. This old thriller is a must see for people. It is a mystery about death and the humanity of people.
