The Green Paw Club Debuts At Regina

‘Eco-friendly’ has slowly transformed from a term foreign to the English dictionary into a hot topic across the United States.

Although recycling bins are common in parks and eco-friendly laundry detergent is now available, it can also be too broad an idea for students to think critically about.

Many people feel as though saving the environment is either a battle humanity is losing, or a lost cause. Senior Caroline Galliani has started a club called the “Green Paw” to lead Reginites in baby steps towards environmental sustainability.

It all starts with baby steps, Regina. The Green Paw focuses on identifying aspects of one’s personal life that can be tweaked in order to benefit one’s own health as well as the health of the environment.

What many don’t realize is how easy it can be. Instead of buying new clothes, why not have a clothes swap with friends and peers who have similar style? Rather than buying factory made lotions, bath salts, and chapsticks, why not make your own?

Attend a Green Paw meeting to learn fun easy ways to work toward leaving the world a little bit better than the way than the way you found it. Listen to the announcements for the next upcoming meeting.
