Regina’s social studies and English departments joined together to plan a weeklong trip to the East Coast. The trip will be take place from June 7 to June 13, totaling seven days. This trip has been a goal of Mrs. Houston for the ten years she has taught at Regina Dominican.

Mrs. Houston said, “Every year when I teach American Literature and talk about the Salem Witchcraft Trials or Henry David Thoreau, I have always wished I could take students to visit the great literary sites. When I spoke to Ms. Gianos, the was thinking the same thing about all the history the East Coast has to offer. So, we figured we could work together to get this field trip off the ground. I think anyone who decides to go on this trip will really enjoy it.”

The $1,800 trip includes round trip transportation, sightseeing tours and site visits, hotel stay, breakfast and dinner daily, a full-time tour director and more.

Mrs. Houston, Miss Gianos, and Mrs. Pike will all be chaperoning the weeklong trip. The students will visit many different cities and sites. This is a go to trip for any history or literary fan.
