Snow For Sale
This winter Boston received record-breaking amounts of snow… more than 45 inches. Most people are probably annoyed by the excessive amounts of snow, but not Kyle Waring! According to CNN, Waring has begun selling the snow: six pounds worth of snowballs for $89 or 10-pounds for $119. At first, Waring’s business, ShipSnowYo, packed the snow into water bottles for $19.99, but the snow melted before it reaching its destinations. Now Waring uses styrofoam boxes, which perfectly preserves the snowballs. Surprisingly, Waring has filled more than 133 orders.

McDonald’s introduces McMozzarella Sticks
Select McDonald’s restaurants in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut have begun testing their new menu item: mozzarella sticks. This new product is sold with three sticks to each package along with marinara sauce. The mozzarella sticks were wildly popular in the United Kingdom during their testing phase, and according to The Wire, some people have even protested to bring them back on the menu. The McDonald’s franchise has not decided when exactly the mozzarella sticks will be introduced at other locations.

“It’s premature to speculate on the decisions we may make after the test, but we’re excited to share this menu item with our customers in this test market. These tests are designed to determine what works and what doesn’t work within our restaurants by considering the operational experience, consumer response, price points and other important information which may inform future decisions,” said spokesperson Terri Hickey.
