Mrs. Arjona-Sisto Hopes To Contribute Spanish Culture With Regina Community

Regina Dominican is excited to welcome its newest staff member, Mrs. Arjona-Sisto! Arjona-Sisto is Regina’s new Spanish II, Spanish III, AP Spanish Language and Culture, and Spanish V teacher. Paws Up, Mrs. Arjona-Sisto!

Arjona-Sisto has an impressive variety of degrees and qualifications. Before coming to Regina, Arjona-Sisto attended Pensacola Junior College in Florida, where she then received her Associate of Arts degree. She additionally earned her Bachelor of Arts Languages and Linguistics and Master of Arts in Spanish from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton.

Outside of teaching at Regina, Arjona-Sisto loves to travel and visit museums while “experiencing other cultures first hand.” She also enjoys reading biographies and historical novels as well as watching movies and having dinner with friends and family.

When asked about her decision about coming to Regina Dominican, Mrs. Arjona-Sisto said, “I came to Regina because it is an all girls Catholic school and I believe is the perfect environment to excel.”

Ajona-Sisto is extremely passionate about her work. “I love the Spanish Language,”, Arjona-Sisto said, “Learning a second language is opening a window to a different perspective of how to conceive the world. I feel privileged to be part of it. I like the idea that I may contribute to educating global citizens. Students who can investigate the world, weigh perspectives, interact with diverse audiences, and take action to contribute to a better world for everyone.”

Arjona-Sisto is married and a mother of three children, two boys and one girl who also studied at Regina. Her daughter will be graduating in May with a doctorate of dental medicine with further study in a postdoctoral program in periodontology and implantology. Paws Up to our alumni! The rest of Arjona-Sisto family lives in Spain. Arjona-Sisto makes sure to go back every summer to visit.
