Miracle on 34th Street

Miracle on 34th Street has always been one of my favorite movies to watch during the Christmas season.

This 1994 remake of the classic film is the story of a woman named Doris Walker (Elizabeth Perkins), who hires an older man to work as Santa Claus at Macy’s during the holidays. Doris is very stern and serious and she has trained her young daughter, Susan (Mara Wilson) to believe that Santa Claus doesn’t exist.

However, this year’s newly hired Santa is different. He begins to display extraordinary qualities, and even refers to himself as Kris Kringle, the real Santa Claus. He has a way of connecting with so many people, especially children, and seems to spread Christmas cheer wherever he goes.

Despite being harassed by Macy executives and called a fake by much of the public Kris Kringle is able to demonstrate the true meaning of faith and love during the Christmas season to those around him, especially Susan and her family.

Miracle on 34th Street is a heartwarming movie that is sure to put you in the Christmas spirit.
