Not only does sophomore, Georgette Laririt, dance on Regina Dominican‘s Orchesis dance team, but she also twirls her magic on the ice. Georgette has been skating for 11 years with practice a grueling four times a week.

Georgette has been skating for a while and is very dedicated. When asked how she was first introduced to skating, Georgette commented, “my mom just threw me on the ice, and said to just have fun.”

Georgette’s biggest accomplishment was when she placed first twice in a competition!

Realizing that Georgette seems very serious about this competitive sport, she noted that she does plan on pursuing ice skating in college.

Georgette says that she recommends ice skating to all her fellow Regina girls! She states that ice skating “is a lot of fun, and even though there are a lot of falls, you just need to get back up.”

Georgette will be attending nationals in June for ice skating. Although June is still several months away, she does have a show coming up on December 21. Regina girls who are looking for something to do during break should go out and support her. It would be amazing to show her what the support of the Panther Pack really is.

Keep up the hard work, Georgette!
