You’re Not Too Cool For School (Spirit)!
It is no secret that the level of school participation and pride at Regina has varied throughout the years and has not always been steady with enthusiasm. If pizza and out of uniform days won’t work, maybe this will.
High School lasts four unbearably short years. Maybe you are not at the school you chose to be at and it was more of a parental decision, or maybe you are exactly where you chose to be. Either way, you will be spending four years at Regina Dominican that will most likely end up feeling like just a few months. So why not make these four short years a time to remember? Why not graduate high school with an overwhelming sense of pride and joy in the time you spent? Why not make the best out if it?
We attend a high school with superb values, a great education, intelligent and caring teachers, and amazing students. Who cares if our softball team didn’t make it to state or if the basketball team doesn’t have a winning record? If it isn’t the game getting you out there to cheer and show some pride, let it be your friends, your teachers, and all that Regina provides you with.
Sure, competitive, state winning sports team would be a great asset to Regina, and that is most definitely the road we are on. However, working hard at practices is not all it is going to take.
What it is going to take is a shift in attitude from the entire student body, not just the athletes playing the game.
Regina needs screaming fans in the stands decked out in blue, black and white. Regina needs enthusiasm, participation and spirit. Regina needs pride.
No one wants to spend four years at a school where there is only a cheering section for one game a year. Create for yourself a school with intimidating pride and four years you can happily look back on. Go to that volleyball game, sing the Regina song at the top of your lungs, paint “Go Panther’s across your forehead.
No one is above school spirit. Pride is a domino effect and the change starts with you.

Yes I agree with this, students at Regina should show school spirit and school pride for not just the sport teams but for the students and faculty at Regina.
