Dog wants to run for President in Kentucky

Lucy Lou, a border collie, is mayor of her small town of Rabbit Hash in northern Kentucky. Historically, this small town has had two other dog mayors, Junior and Goofy; but Lucy Lou was the first female mayor! Lou governs about 135 people in the unincorporated village, but wants to move on to a bigger political arena. There is no word on which political party Lou will run for, but one thing is for sure: this presidential race is going to be “ruff.”

Twins Pregnant with another Set of Twins

Kerri Bunker and Kelli Wall know quite a bit about twins. They are identical twins and they each have a set of fraternal twins themselves. Now, they are preparing for yet another set of twins, and they are due only two weeks apart. The sisters see many similarities between how they grew up and how their children interact today.

The Pope Visits Local Optician 

Pope Francis is known for being one with the people, and he demonstrated this by visiting a local optician in Rome. He needed new glasses, but he insisted on going to the store and paying for the glasses himself. Alessandro Spiezia, the shop owner, has delivered glasses to the Pope before, but only through various aides and assistants. Since his election, Pope Francis has said that something he misses the most is being able to walk out whenever he wanted and get a pizza.

Manic Monkey Mayhem

In Bath County, Kentucky a monkey on the loose has finally been caught. The monkey, which is not a registered pet in Kentucky, had tattoo markings on his chest to indicate that he was a part of scientific research or a breeding colony. The owners of the monkey have not been identified, but those owners will most likely receive a fine for bringing the pet into the state illegally. The monkey escaped when his owners were cleaning his cage one night, but he is finally back into safety with the Kentucky officials.

Bacon Lovers Meet!

Something this generation can relate to is being obsessed with bacon and internet dating. There is a new dating app called Sizzl, created by Oscar Mayer, that helps self-professed bacon lovers meet. The app is similar to Tinder by matching people that feel the same love for bacon in all its forms. The app even takes into account how the daters like their bacon to be cooked. Unfortunately, the app is only available for iPhone users at the moment.
