The Pinstriking Panthers Are Back In Action!
What is the most wonderful time of the year? You might be thinking the answer is the Christmas season. But that’s wrong, it’s bowling season.
The 2022-2023 bowling season is underway and the pinstriking Panthers are back in action. Led by coach Virginia Biegel, the varsity team is stacked with ten talented players- eight returning and two newcomers- that all intend to bring the heat on the lanes this year. Collectively, the team is anticipatory of what lies ahead of them and has high hopes that they will perform well in their matches this year. The Panthers started out with a bang, winning their first two matches of the season this past week; one against Niles North and the other against Loyola Academy. Paws up!
After an interview, senior Grace Leahy said “I am looking forward to the rest of the season as a first time varsity player. I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to spend time with my teammates as well.”
She also hopes to even have a turkey or even a few under her belt by the end of the season.
Another senior, Margaret Boysen said, “The team is so fun and I want to make it the best bowling season since it is my last”
Along with Grace, Margaret also hopes to get her first turkey this season as well!
The Regina Dominican Bowling team has a packed winter ahead of them filled with ten games and three tournaments. Best of luck and keep up the hardwork pinstirking Panthers!
