Tennis Serves Up Victories
Regina’s varsity tennis began their season with a tough schedule, completing against competitive schools such as Loyola Academy and Mother McAuley. However, these girls came out swinging and defeated rival Resurrection as well as De LaSalle.
Captain Barbara Acacia, ’17 competes in singles and commented on the Regina team, “I’ve played tennis for a long time, and I’ve always loved playing with Regina girls.” Acacia is not the only member with tennis experience. Caroline Baubonis ’17 and her sister, Catherine Baubonis ’15 have been playing doubles together for years. Acacia added, “This is a very talented group of girls. I cant wait to see what this season has in store for us,” The tennis team practices at Wilmette Jr. High across the street from Regina.
