Anna Rosenberg Adds Color to Regina’s Spanish Department

Filling the halls with her unique personality is Ms. Anna Rosenberg. She is the newest Panther whom Regina Dominican has welcomed into the Spanish department.

Rosenberg went to Saint Mary’s College and Notre Dame University for her undergraduate, which gave her a BA in Communications, Spanish and Justice Studies. She graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston. She has a Master of Science in Education, as well as in Secondary Spanish.

Before teaching at Regina, Rosenberg spent the last six years teaching at Evanston Township High School in Evanston as a long and short term substitute teacher. At Evanston, she taught Spanish, ESL and Special Education.

When asked why she chose to teach at Regina, she replied “I used to work at a very large school and appreciate the opportunity to work in a smaller, close knit community.” At Regina, Ms Rosenberg teaches Spanish levels 1 and 2,  as well as Caritas. 

Outside of school, Ms. Rosenberg likes to hike, fish, and read. “Music is food for my soul, so I listen to music at a loud level,” Rosenberg said. 

Besides Spanish, Ms Rosenberg also speaks Czechoslovakian and is a first-generation American. She would describe herself as fun, dedicated, religious and adventurous. Something you don’t know about Ms Rosenberg is that she is a 2nd grade religious education teacher, and has a purple belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Ms. Rosenberg’s family consists of her husband that she has been married to for 20 years, her children which are ages 18, 15, and 12. Adding to that, the Rosenbergs are hosting a German exchange student who is 16 years old. She has many pets which consist of their beagle-hound mix named Abby, 2 snakes, a blue tongue Skink, and a 60 gallon fish tank. “
