On February 1, Regina Dominican hosted another successful Winter Bash. This year’s theme was “Fire and Ice,” which was a huge hit with both the students and faculty.

Regina Dominican kicked off the Winter Bash festivities with the winter sports pep rally. RDAA hosted an exciting pep rally that acknowledged all of the winter athletes. There were  fun activities such as a tug of war competition and a performance by Orchesis.

After a close competition with the juniors and sophomores, the seniors defeated the faculty to become the 2019 tug of war champions. Tug of war was followed by an amazing routine by our Orchesis dance ensemble. Despite some technical difficulties, Orchesis pulled off a show-stopping performance to a Beyoncé mashup choreographed by junior and Orchesis co-captain Kathleen Rabbitt. The final kick-off was Winter Bash.  Students were dismissed an hour early to get ready for the night time dance.

The dance started at 7 P.M. and had a great turnout of Regina students and their dates. Students from all grades attended and had a blast. The DJ got all students involved, and showed his appreciation to the junior class by leading the crowd in chants of “junior season!” Students danced the night away in their beautiful dresses to songs such as “Mo Bamba” and “Baby Shark.”

Overall, the dance was a huge success and a huge thank you to student council moderators, Mrs. Stenson and Ms. Cairns as well as our student council representatives for putting together this wonderful event.
