Regina Bowling “Strikes” Up A New Season
On November 19, Regina’s Bowling team had their first practice of the season from 4:00-5:30 p.m. at the Brunswick Zone in Niles.
This year brings a new meaning to the sport. New coach and Regina Enrollment and Recruitment Associate Mrs. Rich has had a tremendous turn out this year. The team has 15 bowlers and the girls are ready to “strike” up a new season!
The Bowling team did an amazing job starting their season off with their first game against Loyola Academy on November 27 at Brunswick Zone Niles. Two team members bowled turkeys (3 strikes in a row) and they even got to wear turkey hats during practice the next day!
To the members of the bowling team, participating in a fun and competitive winter sport enriches their school life and provides them an opportunity to meet new people.
No prior bowling experience is required in order to participate. Coach Rich emphasizes that practice makes perfect. All you have to do is to try your best!
The bowling team has many games coming up along with the GCAC and IHSA tournaments. Go Panthers!
