Nov. 8 is Election Day and it is approaching quickly. The main candidates for this election are Hillary Clinton, for the Democratic Party, and Donald J. Trump, for the Republican Party. Third Party candidates for the Presidential election include Gary Johnson, for the Libertarian Party and Jill Stein for the Green Party.

For those of you able to vote, here are a few questions to consider when choosing the right candidate for you.

1. Do you take the same stance on the “important” issues?

These “important” issues  depend on each individual person. However, issues like gun control, health care, tax reform, and immigration are just a few issues that many voters hold strong opinions on. When casting a vote,  make sure your candidate holds the same views as you.

2. Do they have any previous political experience?

Candidates like Jill Stein and Donald Trump have never been elected into public office before.  Many people criticize this because they do not want a leader without any actual political experience. This is something to take into consideration when you choose a candidate.

3. Do they inspire the change you want to see in our country?

Trump supporters want to “Make America Great Again.”  However, this applies that America is not great right now.  Do you believe this? Hillary Clinton supporters believe that they can be “Stronger Together.” Do you agree that this is possible? Jill Stein wants her supporters to vote for her because she is the “Greater Good Over the Lesser Evil.” Do you feel that Stein is the a best choice for you?  Finally, Gary Johnson wants to make “Our Best America Yet.” Do you believe that Johnson can make America better than it already is?

Overall, the choice is yours.  Once you step in the voter’s box on Nov. 8, you can have a voice in making an important decision that will direct this country for the next four years. Are you ready for it?
