What do you expect out of Regina?
I hope to become part of a community of students, faculty, and friends. I want to have a lot of fun while doing my job.
Why did you become a campus minister and theology teacher?
After grad school, I realized that all my previous mentors were religion teachers, so I thought about teaching. My goal is to make religion real and fun and being campus minister is an active way to do that.
What is your favorite part of Regina so far?
The girls. They are the kindest, most respectful, and open students.
What is your favorite high school memory?
Senior year I played a prank on my adviser, whom I loved. I taped her phone receivers so she couldn’t use her phone all day. She gave me a detention but I talked my way out of it. We really bonded over how funny it was.
What are you looking forward to most?
Getting to know the students on retreats and Kairos.
What did you want to be when you were younger?
I didn’t have an exact goal, but my goal was to be accomplished, I didn’t want to do one thing my whole life.
If you could have a “Last Supper” what would it be?
Italian sausage and peppers, and canoli.
How do you describe your fashion sense?
I get a lot of clothes from Gap and H&M. My style is eclectic. It has a little bit of everything and is expressive of my emotion that day.
How do you balance being a campus minister and a teacher?
I’m still figuring it out. I’m mostly working in campus ministry, but I want to prepare well for class and when I’m in my class my mind is only there. I’m focused.
If you had to be stranded on a desert island for a week with one person, who would you pick?
My Dad. I miss him because he lives far away from me. He never gets boring. He is always hilarious. Every time I’m with him I hear a story I’ve never heard before.
