I am looking forward to working with students in dance class, the musical, and Orchesis. I hope to build meaningful relationships with them, so that we can build on for next year.
Why did you become a dance teacher?
I have danced since I was very young, and I wanted to share my love of dance with others. Being a dance teacher is an opportunity to bring joy to others.
What is your favorite part about Regina so far?
The commitment of the students. They have a very good attitude and an interest in their studies.
What is your favorite High School memory?
Putting on productions. One year my choreography piece was featured in the Illinois High School Dance Festival.
What are you looking forward to most?
Extracurricular activities outside of what I teach; volunteering at dances and social events.
What is your favorite style of dance to teach and to perform?
My favorite style of dance to teach is improvisation and choreography. My favorite style to perform is post-modern dance.
What is the biggest challenge in what you do?
Getting students over the hump of being afraid to dance a certain way in front of others, getting past their ego, and helping them “dance like no one’s watching.”

Genuine, loyal, thoughtful, organized, kind
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
India
What is your favorite thing to do when you are not working?
