Coach Scott Bohlke has been very involved in the Regina community through his Volunteering and coaching at Regina Dominican from 2003 to today, He has had a positive impact on so many Regina Dominican students.
Coach Bohlke grew up on a farm near Redwood Falls, Minnesota, where he also attended Redwood Falls High School. During his high school years, he was involved in choir and school musicals. After high school, he entered a technical school to become a radio announcer.
Mr. Bohlke said, “When I was a senior in high school, I had my own six hour radio show once a week on our local radio station. My radio background is why I love announcing the volleyball and basketball games for Regina Dominican which includes announcing the starting lineups, singing the national anthem, and doing ‘play by play’ during tournament play.”
Coach Bohlke started coaching a track program at Saint Mary of the Woods, which is where he also coached several other sport teams: softball, baseball, hockey. Later, in 2003, when his daughters started Regina Dominican, he started helping out at Regina. Since then, Coach Bohlke has been the cross country and track and field coach. Bohlke loves to coach as he enjoys helping kids reach their potential and improve their athletic skills. On or off the field, he is an extremely positive, passionate, encouraging, and caring person.
Coach Bohlke is married with three children and eight adorable grandchildren whom he loves to spend time with. He also enjoys hiking, spending time at his childhood farm, watching sports, and doing puzzles.
The Regina Dominican community is so grateful to have Coach Bohlke as a part of the community. Paws Up, Coach Bohlke!
