This “little woman” made a big splash at the Golden Globes! At an award ceremony with many over-the-top outfits, Saoirse Ronan proves that sometimes, less is more. Even without heavy makeup or excessive jewelry, Saoirse Ronan is one of the most elegant ladies on the red carpet. Now, let’s hope Saoirse responds to my Instagram DM and lets me wear this to prom.

Ana de Armas

¡Dios mío! Ana de Armas, who most Regina girls know as Carolina from “El Internado” (thanks Seńora Durán!) looked absolutely stunning on the red carpet. A first-time nominee for “Knives Out”, Ana de Armas wore a dazzling dark blue gown paired with beautiful Tiffany & Co jewelry. Although this is Ana de Armas’ first time on the Golden Globes red carpet, I’m sure it won’t be her last.

Priyanka Chopra

Pretty in pink! Priyanka Chopra, who opted for a simpler, more traditional gown, looked radiant on the red carpet. Her light pink mermaid cut gown paired with a striking diamond necklace complimented her dark hair and skin tone beautifully. Additionally, this look is the perfect mix of vintage and current fashion – which is not an easy feat. With this look, it’s safe to say Priyanka and Nick Jonas are the best-dressed couple on the red carpet.

Lucy Boynton

Futuristic looks such as Lucy Boynton’s are either a hit or miss – but this was definitely a hit! The silver dress was complimented with her dark, glittery makeup and platform heels. Also, this dress’s beauty is contained in the details, as it took over 400 hours to make and has over 8,000 beads and stunning lace embroidery. With this level of detail and artistry, it is for sure a contender for the best look of the night.

Zoey Deutch

A yellow, puffy-sleeved pantsuit (no it’s actually not a dress!) may sound absolutely hideous on paper, Zoey Deutch happily surprised me with this gorgeous look. Paired beautifully with a blue diamond necklace and earrings, the bright pop of yellow along with the plunging neckline made Zoey stand out on the red carpet. With this both shocking and showstopping look, Zoey Deutch is living proof that sometimes risks do pay off.

Billy Porter

While many know him from “American Horror Story”, Billy Porter looked like an angel sent down from heaven. Opting for a long, white-feathered train and bright tuxedo, it’s obvious all eyes were on him as he walked his way down the red carpet – as they should be! Nominated for Best Actor in a Television Series – Drama, this look is nothing short of dramatic. Billy, who is is known for his high-fashion looks, did not disappoint with the outfit. Although he did not win the Golden Globe, there is no doubt he won the red carpet.

Worst Dressed

Jennifer Lopez

Jenny from the Block…or Jenny from the box I should say. Although JLo is usually one of the best dressed at any given award show, this looks came straight out of my box of Christmas decorations. Not only is the bow over the top and obnoxious, but the clashing green and gold make JLo look as if she is wearing a costume. Also, it’s confusing why someone as beautiful as JLo would allow herself to be overshadowed by such a hideous dress. It’s safe to say JLo JLost this one.

Taylor Swift

While it was shocking to many that Taylor Swift and her boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, walked the red carpet separately, after seeing this monstrosity – can you blame him? Although I do like Taylor’s new bright and summery style, I swear I bought a shirt in 4th grade with this exact same print at Justice. I hate to say it, but  Taylor probably would’ve been better off wearing her “Cats” costume.

Joey King

When I first saw Joey King step out onto the red carpet, I immediately had flashbacks to my 9th-grade biology textbook – if you know what I mean. While I usually appreciate looks that are out-of-the-box, this is a bit overboard for me. Although the shape of the dress is rather unflattering, I do appreciate the color and pattern of the fabric. Let’s hope Joey King never does “The Act” of wearing this dress again.

Kaitlyn Dever

There are many “Unbelievable” things about this look. While Kaitlyn Dever is one of the younger red carpet stars at only 23 years old, this dress looks like it was made from my grandmother’s tablecloth. In addition to looking like “Little House On The Prairie” gone wrong, the puffed sleeves sadly make her look like the Michelin man. Better luck next time, Kaitlyn.
