Dear Gina,
I have a lot of questions about Dance Marathon. What should I wear? What is the charity we are supporting? Will there be food there?
Dear Dance Marathoner,
Those are a lot of questions, but I can answer them all!
To answer your first question, you can wear anything you want to dance marathon, as long as it abides by the Regina Dominican dress code in the handbook. Most people wear a T-shirt and shorts and then change into free dance marathon T-shirts given out at the door. I would advise you to wear gym shoes so that you are comfortable when dancing the night away!
The charity we are supporting for this year’s dance marathon is Autoinflammatory Alliance, a charity that helps bring support and awareness to those suffering from various autoinflammatory diseases.
There is pizza and water served at the dance for refreshments. The cost is $25 at the door, and it starts at 6:30.
Dear Gina,
I’m not going anywhere for Spring Break. What should I do at home?
Dear Staycation,
Do not worry about going on an exotic vacation this Spring Break! You can have just as much fun at home exploring the city.
Many of us either live in Chicago or in the suburbs around it, and that makes it easy to try all of the different things you could do in the city. Chicago is so diverse that you can do something different everyday during Spring Break. You could go to the theater, visit all the different ethnic neighborhoods, and eat in delicious restaurants all over the city.
Spring Break is also the perfect time to hang out with your friends. Get all of your besties together that are also staying home and have a fun sleepover! Make some fresh, healthy snacks to celebrate the warm weather and watch some Spring Break themed movies.
