Bowling: Successful Season
The Panthers varsity bowling team ended their regular season with a victory over powerhouse Fenwick. The score of 2248 to 1558 says it all. The Panthers left with their heads held high.
Stephanie Zalinski ’17 individually advanced to the sectional playoffs, which were held at Brunswick Zone in Mount Prospect. She bowled a six game series averaging about 162 pins per game.
Zalinski bowled a total of 970 pins earning 75th place overall.
Although the Panthers did not do as well as they did last year, Zalinski is proud of their season. “I think we did well this season. I’m looking forward to everyone improving their individual scores next year,” said Zalinski.
Ending a season is always bittersweet and causes players to reminisce about the year.
“I’m going to miss the rides to all the matches and practices. They were always so fun and entertaining,” said Zalinski.
“I’m going miss the practices the most,” said Sarah Allworth ’16. Allworth is ready to step up next year and lead the team as a senior.
“I think our season went well and our record shows that. Everyone got better everyday which makes me excited for next year,” said Allworth.
