The Arizona Department of Transportation released a photo stating that there might be a family of sasquatches (mythical bigfoot) walking alongside a highway.  Officials have since confirmed that the supposed sighting was a joke.

 

1/13/15:

Japan announces plans to construct the world’s first underwater city in the year 2035.  The underwater dwelling will measure 4 football fields in length and extend almost 2 miles deep into the sea.

Disneyland, also known as “The Happiest Place On Earth,” announced an outbreak of measles among the amusement park’s guests and workers.  Several dozen measles cases have emerged in California, four other states and Mexico since December.
