It is a pretty cool thing to know that your team was the first Bass Fishing all girls team in the entire country. However, this does not phase Regina’s team. The girls have been practicing their reel and rod skills, and the art of a good cast.

This year 13 girls are participating in the sport. The girls have been busy practicing inside and outside and are anxious to get out and fish in the warm weather.

Captains this year include Erin Patterson and Matea Peric. Coach Kelly is back to work with the girls. The girls fish at the Skokie Lagoon and are looking forward to the upcoming tournaments.

Molly Langfels said, “So far the season is going really well. The team is excited to take advantage of the practice and tournament opportunities. It is a low-key sport, but very fun.”
