According to ABC News, on April 28 the famous Muppet character will receive the Sackler Center First Award. This honor goes to women who have made progress in their fields.

Other recipients of this award have been former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor and Julie Taymor, a theater director.

Miss Piggy is receiving the award because of her story of overcoming obstacles and having “spirit, determination, and grit”.  It has been rumored that Kermit the Frog will attend the ceremony.

 

Passenger Kicked Off Flight for Poking Man Next to Her

Everyone knows that flying can sometimes be a stressful experience, and it does not always bring out the best in everyone.

On April 16th, one fed up passenger Southwest Flight 577, out of Chicago, was asked to leave the plane after she poked the snoring man next to her multiple times. According to the Huffington Post, the flight was delayed at Midway for almost two hours.

Firefighters examined the man, but he did not suffer any injuries following the incident.

The famous pop star has recently joined the likes of Kim Kardashian and P. Diddy by contracting to launch an iPhone app where she will star in a mobile video game, which will showcase the glamour and the glitz of Hollywood. The app will be available for iPhone sometime in 2016.

On April 15, biologists traveled to a beach south of San Francisco to examine a dead sperm whale on shore.

This tragedy comes after a rare type of sperm whale was found dead on another California beach. The cause of death for this massive mammal is unknown, but the event brings up a warning to boaters and beachgoers. Boaters are urged to watch out for whales and stay clear of their paths to keep the whales safe.

He owns a coffee shop named Central Perk, just like in the show, which is located in Beijing, China. At the shop, fellow “Friends” lovers can watch the show and talk about their favorite episodes while enjoying a cup of coffee.

Gunther started his love for the show after watching a few episodes following a devastating break up, and he began to fall in love with the show. One thing is for sure– Gunther will always be able to find love in his favorite “Friends”.

Millions of spiders descended and blanketed their silky webs upon a small Australian town. This unusual phenomenon isn’t so uncommon. According to retired professor Rick Vetter, “Ballooning is a not-uncommon behavior of many spiders. They climb some high area and stick their butts up in the air and release silk. Then they just take off.” What is so uncommon is that this spider behavior happened at the same time and in the same place.
