New Hairstyles for Regina

New+Hairstyles+for+Regina

Every Regina girl has their typical daily hairstyle. Personally, I prefer the lose french braid. I also see quite a few messy buns and high ponytails, because let’s face it, a little extra sleep trumps straighteners, hairspray, and endless bobby pins.

I have gotten quite tired of my go-to look, therefore I have decided to do my research and share my findings with other Reginites who may have the same problem as me! These new easy hairstyles don’t require anything extravagant, and take less than 5 minutes to do.

The Crossover Clip

With the Crossover Clip, you take two sections of hair from the top of your head (specifically from around your face), cross the sections at the back of your head, and clip them with a barrette in the middle.

For short hair, I personally love the ‘Miley buns’ look. It’s adorable, fun, and easy. All you have to do is separate your hair like you are about to make two high pigtails, then twist each pigtail into small circular buns.

Although many people know what a fishtail braid is, almost nobody takes the time to do it. But justlike a normal braid, once you practice it a few times it’s easy. For those who don’t know what a ‘fishtail’ is, its basically an inside-out braid. Instead of alternating which of the three chunks of hair goes in the middle, you make two large sections. Then, you take small pieces of the outsides of these sections and bring them across the middle to the other section, then repeat on both sides, all the way down

To start you must split your hair into a top and bottom layer, with the top layer a little bit thinner than the bottom. Next, you take all of the hair on the top half EXCEPT for a medium thin strand above each ear, and tie it up with a hair tie. Lastly, twist the strands until it looks crown-esque around your head, and secure it with the rest of the top-half hair.

These may sound confusing, but with practice, you’ll get the hang of it. For more easy hairstyles, see here and here. Try these out and feel a little better about having to wear the exact same thing everyday!
